My chakras were destabilised long before I founds a book on the subject, long before I knew that there is a right way and a wrong way to approach the subtle energies. My chakras were worked upon not by me but by someone else, constituting a prime violation of all the laws of spiritual practice.

This is a brief and concise practical guide to the art of dowsing: responsiveness to living energy fields is an important capacity to develop.

Dowsing is an old and well established practice which is now enjoying something of a revival. Water divining has never quite faded from country life. there is nothing ‘supernatural’ about dowsing for water. Professional dowsers are often the most down to earth people imaginable and children frequently pick up dowsing without any difficulty. Dowsing is a skill which can be learned and applied. As you learn more about dowsing, you also learn more about yourself.

Daughter of the Goddess

The book presents a study of role assigned to the priestess across different cultures: Mesopotamia, Egypt, Crete, Rome and Okinawa. This historical comparison highlights the very different functions served by women in relation to the sacred.

The priestess is an unfamiliar figure to society at large, a leftover from the ancient world, dragged up from the depths like the recovered coelacanth. Such is the power of androcentricity, the male-centred society. However the priestess was not always an unfamiliar figure.

I am a priestess because I was born a priestess. Through every personal experience, I have been a priestess even when my feet wandered far from the path.
